# Work with Keys

> Learn how to create translation key right from Lokaliser Figma plugin; Assign key to a single text element or multiple text elements; modify keys

### Create New Translation Key

Select a text element or a frame from Figma design;

On Lokaliser Figma plugin, Layers tab, select a textnode without any key linked;

From the selected textnode row, click on the Select box;

Fill in the key name by your own team's naming convention and hit Enter or simply click on the option \[Create "myNewKeyName"] from the select menu.

### Assign (Link) Key

Select a text element or a frame from Figma design;

On Lokaliser Figma plugin, Layers tab, select a textnode without any key linked;

From the selected textnode row, click on the Select box;

Select the suggested existing key name from the list or Create New Translation Key to assign immediately.

### Batch Link Key - Assign Key To Multiple Text Elements

Select text elements from Figma design or multiple frames from Figma design;

On Lokaliser Figma plugin, Layers tab, select checkbox on each textnode row (more than 2), the Batch link button will appear;

Click on \[Batch link] and Create New Translation Key or Assign Key to those selected text elements all at once;
